ALTAIR PBS WORKS simplifies and automates the administration of simulation tasks, use of IT infrastructure, HPC clusters and cloud environment. The turnkey solution for CAE is ALTAIR UNLIMITED, combining the provision of IT infrastructure, task management tools, HyperWorks licenses and support.

Technologies and tools from the Altair PBS Works product family are used to manage computing tasks, especially in High-performance Computing (HPC) environments. Altair supports both on-premise cluster computing and cloud solutions, including leading providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Oracle.

For regular CAE customers, the most attractive HPC product is Altair Unlimited which is a highly efficient combination of hardware, CAE software, and services. The next generation of HPC and software solution provisioning is included in Altair One services.

Turnkey High-performance Computing solution

Altair Unlimited (successor of HyperWorks Unlimited) is a comprehensive suite of solutions that includes software, system management, and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) into a single, intuitive platform. Designed as a Physical Appliance, this is a CAE-tuned computer ready to handle demanding tasks with an unlimited HyperWorks license and PBS Works efficient task management tool. The solutions are tuned, alternatively for both CPU and GPU-based calculations, to cover for the customer the required range of performance for tasks in the field of mechanics, CFD, electromagnetics etc.

The second variant of Altair Unlimited is the so-called Virtual Appliance, which is remarkably similar but computing performance is delivered as a cloud service instead of an on-premise hardware solution.
