We invite you to an online conference dedicated to the experience with the creation of conceptual and variant design proposals with the help of fast structural simulations.
During the individual contributions, Jaguar Land Rover, GM, NOV, Whirlpool and others will acquaint you with their development processes, methods and procedures. They will also show you which simulation tools they use and where they see their greatest contribution to the requirements for shortening development.
The papers will discuss the practical deployment of tools, especially Altair SimSolid and Inspire. You will learn how to evaluate the mechanical properties of design variants in a matter of seconds and what you can expect from the Simulation-driven Design approach.
This is a process document for SimSolid which details methods to use the program in the automotive industry. In particular, the focus is on early design simulation of automotive subassemblies. The methods are general enough that they can be implemented with any program where automotive sub-structures are designed and analyzed for normal modes and linear statics.
In the eBook published by Altair University, the authors present a new simulation method used in SimSolid. Nowadays we hear buzzwords and stop taking them seriously. However, when we look at SimSolid, we think and believe that the notion of a “revolutionary” simulation method not only makes sense, but is also a corresponding description.
This eBook from Altair University provides an introduction to the “Simulation Driven Design” process and gives users, students, and designers new to computer-aided engineering (CAE) the first insight into how to create conceptual designs with simulations.
We are constantly expanding our network of clients, including major final manufacturers and suppliers for the automotive, aerospace and railway industries, as well as small and large engineering companies. We are active in the Czech Republic and beyond.
